Baggage Allowance

Carry-on bags

You are allowed one carry-on bag, plus a small personal item.

Carry-on bag (one only)

  • Maximum dimensions (including wheels and handles) are 23 x 14 x 10 in (60 x 35 x 25 cm).

  • Carry-on bags cannot exceed 22 lbs (10 kgs).

  • Depending on size and capacity, carry-on bags may be checked plane side and available to retrieve plane side on arrival. 

  • Carry-on bags as part of the allowance that do not fit under the seat, or in the overhead bin, must be checked in to the hold at no additional cost.   

Personal item (one only)

  • Maximum dimensions are 18 x 11 x 11 in (45 x 27 x 27 cm).

  • The item must fit underneath the seat in front of you.

  • Examples of personal items include:

    • Handbag

    • Small backpack

    • Laptop

    • Sports racquet

    • Small musical instrument

    • Camera bag

Checked-in bags

  • Total dimensions for checked-in bags must not exceed 62” or 158cm. The number of checked-in bags depends on fare family. For more information please check our Fare conditions.

  • For ECONOMY LIGHT fares, the first bag up to a limit of 70 lbs or 32 kgs are permitted at a cost of US$60 (CA$81) each, and subject to capacity.

  • All other additional bags up to a limit of 70 lbs or 32 kgs are permitted at a cost of US$100 (CA$135) each, and subject to capacity.   

Heavy bags and oversize

  • Total dimensions must not exceed 62” (158cm) and/or 70 lbs/32 kgs per item.

  • BermudAir are unable to accept any bags heavier than 70 lbs/32 kgs. Airport staff will, however, use their discretion for situations that do not fall within the detailed requirements ensuring that the airline meets its regulatory commitments.

Travelling with children

Passengers travelling with young children can bring up to two (2) pieces of child equipment free of charge:

  • Stroller and/or car seat or booster, and/or travel cot (all to be checked-in in hold only)

  • A baby bag of up to 11 lbs (5 kgs) free of charge for infants travelling on an adult's lap 

  • If an adult is travelling with two infants under the age of 2 years, one infant must sit on the accompanying adult’s lap and the other infant must occupy a separate seat and be seated in a suitable and approved child car seat/restraint device next to the accompanying adult.  The infant seated in the child restraint device (CRD) must be seated in the same row as the accompanying adult. The CRD must be fitted according to manufacturer instructions.
