Why a tech stop for additional fuel may be necessary

At Bermudair, your safety and reliable operations are our highest priority. While we always aim to fly you directly to your destination, certain factors at your departure airport can make this brief stop necessary.

A combination of the short runway in Anguilla, customer load, and changing weather conditions can mean the original flight plan may have to be revised. Every take-off calculation is performed with precision by our flight operations team, accounting for runway length, air temperature, and wind speed. A tech stop is a standard industry practice that allows us to serve unique and beautiful destinations that would otherwise be inaccessible to large aircraft.

When a tech stop for additional fuel is required, we work with local fuel companies to provide the service as efficiently as possible to minimise the additional time required on the ground.

Our new direct services from the US to Anguilla have been very popular, but as outlined above a tech stop for additional fuel may occasionally be required - until the runway on the island is lengthened (work begins this year).

Even taking into account a stop for fuel (efficiently delivered) BermudAir still offer the fastest service by a margin with a comfortable product and superior service.
