Reimbursement claim form
In the unfortunate event of a flight delays or cancellations, you are entitled to claim reimbursement for some, or all, of your incurred costs.
Whilst you can see all the details of what you can claim in our Conditions of Carriage, please note the following compensation you may be entitled to:
Flight Delays
For flight delays 2-4 hours: US$200 (CA$270) in Travel Credit per person which will be allocated by us automatically.
For flight delays of 4+ hours: US$250 (CA$337.50) in Travel Credit per person which will be allocated by us automatically.
For flight delays of 6+ hours: US$250 (CA$337.50) in Travel Credit per person which will be allocated by us automatically. In addition, if you reject the delayed flight or alternative compensation, e.g. a flight on an alternative airline, only then will you be entitled to a refund on the portion of the ticket used. If you choose to travel on the delayed flight you will not be entitled to a refund. If you choose to cancel with us and book on another airline, we will refund the cost of the portion of the ticket not used.
Flight Cancellations
If it is necessary because of a delay or cancellation to stay overnight in a hotel, we will try to book a room on your behalf. If you make your own hotel arrangements, you are entitled to claim back:
US$120 (CA$162) per person per night (US & Canada)
US$200 (CA$270) per person per night (Bermuda)
You are also entitled to claim up to US$75 (CA$101.25) per person per day towards food and drink expenses
BermudAir will provide ground transportation to/from the hotel‚ if the hotel does not offer this service. Alternatively‚ BermudAir will reimburse reasonable ground transportation costs (e.g. taxi, bus, or train) you incur travelling to or from the airport and your accommodation. You will need to submit all receipts which we will validate before you are reimbursed.
For flight cancellations outside our control we will rebook you onto one of our other services at no cost to you or refund the cost of the portion(s) of the ticket not used.
For flight cancellations within our control we will rebook you onto one of our other services at no cost to you or refund the cost of the portion(s) of the ticket not used, and pay compensation in the form of Travel Credit if the cancellation is made more than 14 days in advance of the travel date.
Ticket refunds for cancellations are made within 7 days without the need for you to submit a claim (for bookings made after 28 October 2024. Refunds for cancellations made to bookings made before this day may take longer).
If you need to be booked onto a flight provided by another airline‚ we will attempt to do this for you on your behalf. If you chose to make a booking for yourself‚ we will refund you the full cost of the unused portions of your flight with us and we will reimburse you the difference in cost (for the same class of travel)‚ including any additional checked bag costs. You will need to submit copies of all receipts which we will validate before we process your reimbursement.
