Can passengers check bicycles on flights?

Bicycles are welcome on board (checked, of course), properly packed in a hard-sided bicycle box, cardboard box, or soft sided case. The cost to check a bicycle, as oversized baggage, is U$100 (CA$130-CA$150‚ subject to your bank's charges).
