Can I travel with Smart Luggage?
You can travel with smart Luggage, however baggage equipped with one or more lithium batteries exceeding the following limits must be handled in specific ways, as below:
Lithium Metal batteries - a lithium content of 0.3 g; or
Lithium Ion batteries - a Watt-hour rating of 2.7 Wh
If the battery size exceeds these values, they:
must be carried as carry-on baggage
if the batteries are removable from the baggage, the batteries must be carried in your carry-on baggage and must be individually protected so as to prevent short circuits. This can be achieved placing them in the original retail packaging or by otherwise insulating terminals, e.g. by taping over exposed terminals or placing each battery in a separate plastic bag or protective pouch.
